In today's society terrorism is something that we are all faced with
every day whether it is in the news or our troops serving oversees.
The concept of our training program is to enlighten and not frighten.
At International Protection we are able to
train you or your staff on the growing threat of terrorism in the world
today.
Definition Of Terrorism:
nTerrorism is
the use of force or violence against persons or property in
violation of the criminal laws of the United States for purposes of
intimidation, coercion or ransom. Terrorists often use threats to
create fear among the public, to try to convince citizens that their
government is powerless to prevent terrorism, and to get immediate
publicity for their causes.
Two Types of
Terrorism:
nDomestic
Terrorism:
Involves groups or individuals whose terrorist activities are
directed at elements of our government or population without foreign
direction.

nInternational
Terrorism:
Involves groups or individuals whose terrorist activities are
foreign-based and/or directed by countries or groups outside the
United States or whose activities transcend national boundaries.

What to do?
n
nPay
attention to your surroundings.
n
nBe
aware of suspicious activity, persons and vehicles.
nDo
not give out any security, personal or work related information.
Example: break times, how
many
security officers are at your building, information
on CCTV cameras or locations of facility gas, power or telephone
facilities.
nReport
all activity to the local Authorities.
nBe
sure to document the time, location of the activity and description
of all
persons and vehicles involved.
Who should I call?
All possible terrorist activity should be called in to
the local authorities. If you are not sure, call 1-877-A-THREAT.
This is a 24 hour a day hot line for citizen to call for assistance when
confronted by possible terrorist activities.
